Supporting People and Animal Relationships for Change (SPARC)

Creating positive change for animals and people is at the heart of SPARC’s work. Every day, we are uplifting the stories and messaging that shape our animal care and well-being field. Through more effective, compassionate communication, we can improve support for pet families, ensure animals thrive, and create a kinder, more respectful field for us all.

To build a strong future for our work we need better stories and messages. Mainstream narratives are full of stereotypes, shame, and blame. It’s time to drop the judgment and start a new conversation.

Every gift to SPARC fuels the power of better narratives in animal care and well-being work. We provide training, tools, and a supportive community to do our best work for animals and people.

During the final weeks of 2025, we aim to raise $10,000 to increase access to SPARC’s in-demand training offerings. Leaders in our field are telling us they find our training resources to be deeply impactful. Now, they want to bring them to their staff and volunteers. You can help us make that happen!
